Scantech launches the brand new TrackScan-Sharp 3D optical measurement system


TrackScan-Sharp is the brand new optical system for large-scale 3D measurement and scanning of parts, consisting of a portable 3D scanner i-Scanner and an optical i-Tracker.

AdTrackScan-Sharp takes measurement to the next level, offering an acquisition distance of up to 6 meters, a volumetric range of 49 m3 and volumetric accuracy up to 0.049 mm (10.4 m3)

Equipped with the i-Tracker processor for precalculation, 25 megapixel industrial cameras and the latest technologies, TrackScan-Sharp is ideal for measuring large parts or multiple parts at the same time, without having to constantly move the system.

The device facilitates both wired and wireless data transfer, catering to diverse industrial applications and simplifying scanning processes. Additionally, it can be paired with an auxiliary light module for inspecting holes and cracks. TrackScan-Sharp delivers precise and reliable measurements, enhancing product development, quality control, and other operational workflows.

Ultra-high pixels for intricate details

The TrackScan-Sharp 3D scanning system is equipped with a brand new industrial camera. The camera is 25 megapixels, 5 times larger than the previous generation.

Thanks to DLA technology, long-distance depth of field and strong anti-interference ability, the system can automatically obtain clear images at a distance of up to 6 meters.

Measuring bulky objects

Considering its large measurement volume and robust edge measurement algorithm, TrackScan-Sharp enables unique scanning of large-scale parts. Users do not need to move the system frequently when measuring large workpieces, which ensures efficient, precise and precise measurements.

The new i-Tracker system features an integrated processor for efficient image processing and data calculation, capable of providing real-time coordinates.

This innovative precalculation saves the computer’s computing power so that it is more capable of processing the scanned data. It optimizes data and makes it more reliable and stable, impressing users with exceptional performance.

Thanks to powerful components and software, TrackScan-Sharp delivers metrology-grade and high-precision measurement results. This 3D optical tracking system ensures that measurement results meet high metrological requirements.

Thanks to the large scan volume, increased by approximately 200%, users can measure large parts without compromising accuracy.

A new era for data transmission

The 3D scanning system can transfer data both wired and wirelessly. With cable mode the system can send data over long distances, in compliance with industrial measurement standards.

Wireless mode supports applications in different working conditions, which is convenient due to plug-and-play operations. It can be set up quickly and offers flexibility of use to respond to different environmental conditions, ensuring efficient measurements.

Wide range of applications

  • It boasts shadow-free, light-free edge detection with high-precision scale measurement. Users can accurately inspect closed details, especially threaded holes. Good measurements are guaranteed by providing accurate and repeatable measurement results such as positions and diameters.
  • Its highly adaptable data collection algorithm ensures that the equipment can easily obtain 3D data of objects with different surfaces and materials, such as reflective, dark and colored surfaces.
  • It can be combined with a portable CMM T probe (optionally with different lengths) to inspect inaccessible areas such as holes and hidden spots. This measurement probe can provide single point repeatability up to 025mm.
  • Its i-Tracker can be combined with simulation tools and route planning software to create M-Track, an intelligent robotic route planning and guidance system. The system includes perception, planning and execution modules, which cover different applications, such as grinding, coating, welding and many others.

Made of aerospace-grade carbon fiber in the shape of a sphere, the i-Scanner is intended for intensive use. Its ergonomic handle can ensure you can use the 3D scanner for a long session without getting tired, ensuring easy measurement. I-Tracker features an intuitive light strip that shows real-time operating status. Its design helps cameras stay at the optimal temperature throughout the scanning process.
